Testing Policy
Students are expected to take monthly unit exams during the last class session of their course in each of the following: English 3/4, Regular & Honors American Literature, AP Language & Composition, AP English Literature, and Regular English Literature. Exceptions will be made for extenuating circumstances when students (student first time/parent if repeated issue arises) contact the instructor at least 3 days in advance of a need to make alternate arrangements.
Tests are designed to take one class period or less time. AP examinations are timed and generally cannot be made up.
Students enrolled in AP Art History and AP Psychology need to look at specific testing information on their monthly assignment sheets. Generally, AP elective course students take Their exams any time during the "testing/turn in week."
"Late testing" is after the last study group of the month until 3:00PM on turn-in Fridays. There may be a 10% penalty taken from the earned mark.
"Make up testing" occurs after the work turn-in Friday for the month and will be penalized 20%. Plan to be prepared and take exams as scheduled!
Please contact me 3 days prior to the testing date if other arrangements need to be made. This gives me sufficient time to set up a time an alternate test. Parents are welcome to contact me to set up an alternate testing arrangement.
Work must be turned in in the last Friday of the work month as per your enrollment agreement. Late work may be penalized 20% of earned grade.
Please contact me at least 3 days ahead of time if alternate arrangements need to be made.
